While Hollywood is the movie capital of the world, and the location of many an award-winning film, our nation’s largest, and most diverse city, New York, has been home to many outstanding movies as well. This course will reprise some of the study leader’s favorite New York-based movies. Not surprisingly, crime plays its part. But so does humor, romance, the fantastical, and music. In other words, New York on film. Students will view the film on their own prior to each class and be prepared to discuss it during the Zoom class. Streaming outlets will be supplied as part of the schedule of movies.
