Many of the dances are very old and have their roots in Greece, Turkey, Romana, Bulgaria, and Macedonia. The benefits of Sacred Circle Dance include balance, coordination, flexibility, and self-acceptance. If you think you are not a dancer or that you have two left feet you might be amazed that after some practice you will experience a whole new possibility. Through the simple act of holding hands in a circle and dancing, easy to learn steps, we create a powerful connection with each other. When we hold hands, our personal energy combines and connects with everyone in the circle. Through sacred circle dance, we integrate mind, body, spirit and heart. Dancing reduces our stress, increases health and is fun. As we learn new patterns, rhythms, and music we increase the neuroplasticity in our brains. We dance to ground and center ourselves. Our sacred circle dance movements become a healing meditation.
