Bridge is more than a card game-it’s a lively blend of logic, strategy, and partnership. For those who enjoy puzzles, language, or problem-solving, bridge offers endless mental stimulation in a welcoming social setting. Studies in cognitive science suggest that engaging in complex, interactive activities like bridge can support memory, attention, and overall mental agility as we age. Just as importantly, it fosters fun and friendly social connection-something strongly linked to well-being and longevity. While learning bridge is a worthwhile undertaking, it’s also fun from day one! You don’t need prior experience-just an interest in learning, a willingness to think, and perhaps a sense of humor. There is an accompanying text called Bridge Basics I that will support your learning. No previous bridge experience is necessary.
