Jack Lemmon was best known for his lighter roles in romantic comedies, but he had enormous range that earned him two academy awards, and seven nominations for his work on the big screen. His work on the small screen earned him a Primetime Emmy award, and 4 nominations for best actor. And, he won two Tony awards for his work on the Broadway stage. The course will examine several movies for which Lemon received recognition from the Academy, ranging from the light to the heavy. Students will watch the movies on their own prior to each class and be prepared to discuss during the zoom class. A list of where to stream each film will be provided before the first class.
