Have you ever wondered about the beautiful spring wildflowers that put on a great show and then seem to disappear by the middle of summer? You’re talking about spring ephemerals! Join Dr. Mark Miller, Education & Exhibits Director, for an exploration of these native plants through a visually stunning PowerPoint inside, followed by a nice long walk through the gardens and woods of Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to view them ‘in the wild.’ The goal of this class is to provide sufficient fundamental information for neophytes to these plants and plenty of opportunities to see them in situ for those familiar with spring ephemerals.
