The Two Revolutions Of 1776 (Heinz History Center - Lloyd Black) NEW

ID : 5753

« back to classes page
Two events occurred in 1776 that dramatically changed the world: American independence was declared, and the Watt steam engine was commercially released. These were pivotal turning points in, respectively, the American and Industrial Revolutions. Nowhere combined the legacy of both these revolutions quite like Pittsburgh – a city known, of course, as both the "Gateway to the West" and the "Iron City." Come to learn about how these two revolutions came to shape and embody our city. Participants will be admitted free of charge to the Heinz History Center on the days of this course.
