We have discussed the significant differences between the two hemispheres. Both have their strengths. The left hemisphere (LH) is good at analysis but it is prone to entrapment within its own conceptual system. It is not good at negotiating situations that can’t be subsumed under its conceptual system. It is paralyzed if the world doesn’t fit neatly into its categories. The RH, however, is adept at reconciling contradictory aspects of reality. It can incorporate the products of the LH into its understanding, while the LH can’t incorporate the products of the RH–their products are too sophisticated for the LH. So the RH is the more powerful of the two. Our goal is to examine our world from the more powerful standpoint of the RH. We examine aspects of our world that the LH can’t fathom, such as time, space, flow, matter, consciousness, values and purpose.
