Saving Our Democracy From Creeping Authoritarianism (William Presutti) NEW
ID :

« back to classes page
U. S. Democracy is in the grip of creeping authoritarianism. There is an amalgam of sources that advise how to stop it. This course will provide a review of those sources and discuss how proactive we, as citizens, have been and are being in pursuing the ideas emanating from those sources to stop the authoritarian creep. Are any actions being pursued beyond the ad-hoc demonstrations with participants carrying cardboard signs often displaying all sorts of uncoordinated messages. What can we learn from democracies facing authoritarianism and are those lessons applicable to the US This is a citizens call to action. How we respond will determine not only our futures but the futures of our grandchildren.
