Since its founding in November 1988, the Rauh Jewish Archives at the Heinz History Center has become one of the largest and most active Jewish community archives in North America. It holds more than 1,000 collections documenting more than 150 years of Jewish life across Western Pennsylvania and maintains an unusually close and granular relationship with the local Jewish community. In this talk from Rauh Jewish Archives Director Eric Lidji, you’ll get an overview of the Jewish history of Western Pennsylvania, as told through the things people left behind.
