Baduanjin, also known as the “Eight Brocades” is one of the most widely practiced forms of traditional Chinese Qigong for health and longevity. This gentle sequence emphasizes coordinated breathing, mindful movement, and soft stretching to improve balance, posture, flexibility, and circulation. The practice is accessible for all fitness levels, including older adults and individuals with limited mobility. In this course, participants will learn each of the eight movements step-by-step, with clear instruction, demonstrations, and guided practice. We will also explore foundational breathing methods, relaxation techniques, and traditional wellness principles that support joint health, stress reduction, and overall vitality. No previous experience is required. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform the complete Baduanjin routine comfortably and confidently, and will receive guidance on how to continue practicing at home.
