Welcome to the Osher at CMU “Floured Hands” Zoom Interest Group (ZIG). Participants take turns presenting and sharing recipes and techniques for making many different breads, from basic white to sourdough, naan, focaccia, rolls and biscuits, as well as sweet rolls like scones and rugelach; and desserts like galette and peanut butter pie; and even entrees such as wood fired pizza, pasta, and ricotta blueberry pancakes. By sharing, everyone learns from one another through presentations and discussion of flour-centered recipes. This ZIG has brought together a group of individuals who have become “Zoom friends”, and who have now found opportunities to meet face-to-face and continue to share friendship and baking interests when the pandemic allows.
“Floured Hands” meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month from 10AM-11AM via Zoom. Members are encouraged to participate by presenting, sharing, learning, and conversing on the topic of the month.
