« back to classes page
This class welcomes all skill levels. We will use traditional and non-traditional materials to create works ranging from sketches to more realized works. Experimenting, playing, and expressing personal style with lesser concern for likeness will be our primary focus. One session will include a field trip to the Carnegie Museum of Art. Materials include charcoal, graphite, pigment sticks, wire, water media, natural materials, monotype printing, ink, and collage. Some materials’ properties may lead to unpredictable results that could open to new and exciting possibilities for you.
