My bright interest these waning days of 2026 remains the dynamics of our brain lateralization as those dynamics continue to evolve in our age of outrage. In this vein, I keenly appreciate the works of neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor, neuroscientist Iain McGilchrist and psychologist Julian Jaynes. The combined contributions of these 3 will be interwoven in a strange kind of map I will use to explore the promising resource(s) available to us modern persons in search of a way forward - a way forward that will help us navigate the terrains & temporalities we are inhabiting. In Managing Our Minds in Mayhem, I aim to offer an opportunity to collaborate in conversation around the topic of how the plane of our consciousness can be effectively understood, creatively deployed, and gratefully equipped with attendant wonder at the overwhelming challenges we face in our contemporary age.
